Here at Atomic Lotus Tattoo, we understand that getting a tattoo can be an exciting but nerve-wracking experience. We want to ensure that you have all the information you need to feel confident in your decision to get a tattoo and to take proper care of it afterwards. On this page, you’ll find answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about tattoos, our shop, and our services. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to give the studio a call. Our team of experienced artists and staff are always here to help.
Oklahoma State Law states you must be 18 to receive a tattoo, no exceptions (not even with parental consent). We cannot allow minors in procedure rooms.
Only physical copies of government issued IDs or Drivers License are accepted.
We take walk-ins when we have the space throughout the week, and Saturdays are designated for walkins only.
You can come to our shop to discuss artist, design, and scheduling options. In order to best care for our customers’ needs, we cannot make an appointment over the phone or via email. However, you may book a free, 15-minute consultation session with your artist to discuss the details of your tattoo prior to booking an appointment and making a deposit.
Appointments are essential to ensure we book the appropriate amount of time for your tattoo. We also require a deposit, which cannot be done over the phone. We take appointments every day but Saturday, which is our walk-in-only day. Get in line early to ensure we can see you.
Our hours each day are:
Monday – Thursday: 12-9
Friday & Saturday: 12-10
Sunday: 1-7
Keep in mind that we must be wrapped up by closing time, so we cannot accept appointments that will run past that time.
Art is super visual with a ton of variables and personal taste at play. As a result, we cannot price a tattoo over the phone or via email either.
We have set a minimum tattoo price of $80 for any design. See below for more information about deposit requirements.
To make an appointment, you must leave a deposit:
$60 for sessions less than 1 hour
$100 for sessions 1-3 hours
$200 for sessions 3+ hours
This deposit reserves your appointment and is deducted from the final payment of your tattoo. The deposit is non-refundable. If you need to change your appointment, please notify the studio at least 48 hours in advance, and we can accommodate you. In the event you are late, we will hold your appointment for 15 minutes.
Appointments can only be rescheduled one time, so please make sure there are no conflicts with your scheduled appointment in advance.
To get a better sense of our artists’ work and style, we recommend checking out their profiles on Instagram and Facebook. This will help you find an artist whose creative vibe best aligns with yours.
You should already have a good idea of what you want before you come to the studio. While you are researching your tattoo idea, take some time and print some reference material for your artist. Examples of both things you like and don’t like can help your artist see your vision more clearly. We also have staff with extensive photoshop knowledge that are happy to help fine tune your tattoo design and help you realize your desired vision.
No. We will decline to tattoo you. Simple as that.
If you have mitral valve prolapse, and require medication at the dentist, you will need to be medicated prior to getting a tattoo.
If you are diabetic, you will need to have your sugars under control.
We will not tattoo you if you are pregnant. Based on vast experience, we have found that new mothers should wait 3 to 5 months after childbirth before being tattooed. You will end up with a better tattoo if you let your body focus on healing first.
A 15-20% tip is customary.
Nope. Let’s not make it awkward for anyone.
